I love nostalgia.
Honestly, that’s where it’s rooted for me. It’s a feeling I love to capture and share. If I could bottle it, I would.
The idea that we can collectively share something through our own lived experiences is pretty cool.
I love art. I love making things. I love love. I love making the ordinary, extraordinary. At the end of the day, my goal is to make people smile. And I hope I can do that for you, even if that’s something as small as a 2x2 sticker.
I acknowledge that my artwork is created in Bellingham, within Whatcom County, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Lummi Nation, the Nooksack Tribe, the Samish Indian Nation, and the Semiahmoo Tribe of the Coast Salish peoples.
My work also draws inspiration from landscapes throughout Washington State. From the Salish Sea to Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens, each resting on lands stewarded by many Indigenous nations, including but not limited to, the Coast Salish, Duwamish, Suquamish, Puyallup, Chehalis, Nisqually, and others whose connections to these mountains, rivers, and coasts continue today.
I extend respect to their elders past and present, and to all Indigenous peoples across Washington State whose care for these lands and waterways endures.
